DeepTech Scaling Readiness Run

The Deep Tech Scaling Readiness Run is designed to upskill Deep Tech CxOs for successfully scaling their startups. This course is important as scaling is critical yet challenging. Only 4.6% of startups become Tech Scaleups. 74% fail due to premature scaling (Startup Genome Report 2019). With our 3-month program, we equip DeepTech founders to navigate the scaling phase effectively.
We leverage over a decade of expertise and research. We run digital and blended training on our platform based on Learnworlds for 5+ years for 2,000+ founders in DeepTech, AI, Built World, and Cybersecurity from 24 countries (92% EU, 36% women).
The DeepTech Scaling Readiness Run builds upon the Scaling Readiness Run launched in mid-2024 by Konsultori. The course was adapted to cater to the specifics of DeepTech startups in talent retention and acquisition, as well as DeepTech funding.
Structured into 6 sprints, the program combines group sessions, expert feedback, and self-paced learning. It covers 12 scaling dimensions, with 6 assignments, access to frameworks, and feedback. Participants receive a certificate, demonstrating readiness for scaling.
We cover the following scaling modules: kick-off with a scaling readiness check, sprints on strategy and operationalization, product-market fit, sales professionalization, funding, people and culture, and operations.

The sprints are led by experienced and award-winning trainers Petra Wolkenstein (Strategy, Sales, Funding), Michael Kubiena (Operations, People and Culture, Diversity), Tim Birdsall (Sales), and Cornelia Müller (Product Market Fit).
Startups are selected within 10 days of the results of the Scaling Readiness Check and need to have first product-market fit. The training supports alignment across business areas, helping avoid premature scaling pitfalls. Founders use the framework to create a 12-month scaling plan. The English language course uniquely equips later-stage startups for scaling with practical, impactful implementation. Participants acquire skills to analyze, plan, and implement complex interrelated business topics for scaling.
