The EIT Deep Tech Talent Initiative is part of the EIT Education and Skills Days, which will take place 14-16 October 2025 in Brussels, Belgium.
As the green and digital transitions redefine our world, Europe is facing growing skills shortages from high-tech labs to low-carbon industries. This means that a resilient and innovative Europe needs people who are adaptable, entrepreneurial and equipped for change.
The European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) is building Europe’s talent base with a united cross-sector effort in skilling, upskilling and reskilling throughout all stages of life, and the EIT Education and Skills Days 2025 brings the spirit of the Union of Skills to life by:
- Connecting education with innovation: empowering universities, startups, and public bodies alike.
- Driving inclusion: boosting gender balance and opening access to quality education for all.
- Supporting lifelong learning: from school students to professionals upskilling and reskilling.
EIT Deep Tech Talent Initiative Agenda
The EIT Deep Tech Talent Initiative will be one of the EIT flagship initiatives co-organising the EIT Education and Skills Days event series, hosting several panels and networking activities around deep tech education on the afternoon of 15 October 2025, that will celebrate the impact of the initiative and amplify inspiration.
Keynote talks will revolve around empowering talent with tech and entrepreneurial skills, and driving impact through collaboration, and participants will hear three impact success stories.
Three interactive panel sessions are also being planned:
- Empowering today’s workforce with AI skills
- Building a talent pipeline for Quantum
- Boosting cybersecurity skills for European stability and prosperity
This event is the perfect opportunity to connect and engage with Pledgers of the EIT Deep Tech Talent Initiative, an ecosystem comprising over 600 organisations, and with other companies, policymakers, and higher education Institutions working towards closing the skills gap in deep tech in Europe.
