Over 170 students and graduates, representing the next generation of health innovators, will gather in Paris at the end of November for the third edition of EIT Health’s annual education event to celebrate their recent achievements and embark on the next chapter of their careers.

Career Path 2025 will bring together approximately 200 participants from across Europe; the i-Days finalists from 25 different European cities, graduates from the EIT Labelled Programmes, 4 winning Bootcamp teams and the next generation of innovators from the EIT Health Innovators Community to celebrate their successful learning pathways.

The EIT Deep Tech Talent Initiative will be hosting a 90-minute panel and interactive session for up to 40 participants on the first day of the event, 27 November, beginning at 15:20 on the topic of cybersecurity and data management for digital medical devices and research.

Our speakers include:

  • Erdem Gülgüner from Trust4Future, a collaboration between Pledgers Edinburgh Napier University, TAGES and Istanbul Blockchain Women, and funded by the EIT Deep Tech Talent Initiative, that provides free training within areas of Cryptography, Blockchain, Post Quantum Cryptography and Privacy-aware AI.
  • Andreea Moga Co-founder & Partnerships Lead at QuLearnLabs, an EIT Deep Tech Talent Initiative funded project whose mission is to build and invest in tech professionals for quantum and advanced computing skills by bridging the gap between emerging technologies and accessible, future-ready education.
  • Ajit Saini,an expert with over 10 years of experience working with the development and testing of medical devices.
  • Rimon Hanna, a health tech entrepreneur and partner of QuLearnLabs.

 

The objectives of the session are to:

  • Understand cybersecurity threats specific to digital medical devices and research
  • Learn best practices for data management and privacy in healthcare
  • Develop skills to identify and secure vulnerabilities in digital medical devices
  • Practice data encryption and secure data transmission
  • Understand the importance of incident response and compliance with data protection regulations
