This event aims to unite the community of researchers and EU-funded project managers to debate digital skills and IT professionalism
EIT Deep Tech Talent Initiative Pledger, the Council of European Professional Informatics Societies (CEPIS) will host its second international conference on digital skills and IT professionalism (ICODSIP) at the Universidad de Alcalá (UAH), Spain between 6-7 November 2025.
The two main topics of the 2025 conference, IT professionalism and digital skills, focus on important areas where IT professional groups are currently making an impact. These topics also match the European Union’s goals for 2030: reaching 20 million IT specialists and ensuring 80% of people have at least basic digital skills. As digital technology has become a part of everyday life, there’s a growing need for highly skilled IT professionals who can keep up with fast-changing technology.
ICODSIP is not just another international conference
ICODSIP aims to be a welcoming place where people can explore and discuss how IT affects society. It’s a unique conference that brings together well-known experts from the real world and high-quality academic presentations, making it a valuable and balanced event. Panels on IT professionalism, female talent in IT and digital skills training and certification are also planned for this 2025 edition.
This is one of CEPIS’s efforts to act as the central source of information on IT profession and digital skills in Europe. Those who have worked with projects and studied in these fields know how hard is to find trustworthy data and reports that reflect the reality of the job market, career paths, skill needs, training options and more.
Get involved in ICODSIP 2025
ICODSIP 2025 is inviting practitioners, project managers, researchers, HR experts and educators focused on IT professionalism and deep tech training, female talent in IT and digital skills for non-IT workers and citizens to submit their contributions. The Call for Papers and the Call for Project presentations are available and open until 27th July 2025, although extensions are possible by personally requesting it.
Full submission details can be found here.
This is a great chance for European, national, and regional projects to share their results in a focused, Europe-wide setting, connect with other project managers, and learn from their experiences and best practices.
