Applications open for the CEI Study Visit 2025-II

For our Pledgers and Talents following the EIT Deep Tech Talent Initiative we would like to draw your attention to this opportunity.

The Community for Educational Innovation (CEI) is inviting motivated professionals from academia, the public and private sectors and civil society organisations to apply for the CEI Study Visit 2025-II, taking place on 25-26 November 2025 and hosted by EIT Deep Tech Talent Initiative Pledger, St. Pölten University of Applied Sciences.

The focus of the second fully-funded CEI Study Visit is ‘Knowledge Valorisation and Bridging the Innovation Gap in Higher Education’, and is designed to empower participants to translate research into impact, bridging the innovation gap in higher education. Drawing from the themes explored in this semester’s CEI webinars, the visit brings theory into practice through expert keynotes, interactive workshops, and peer learning exchanges.

Over one and a half days, participants will explore practical strategies and frameworks for successful, sustainable knowledge valorisation. The programme will focus on building innovation-friendly ecosystems and highlight the key role of regional stakeholders in fostering innovation. Special attention will be given to supporting researchers in commercialising their ideas, including topics such as intellectual property, technology transfer, entrepreneurship training, and funding mechanisms.

Benefits of attending CEI study visits

  • Advancing learning on research-based innovations: Attendees will engage in deep reflection and knowledge exchange with a diverse group of experts, working together to develop effective strategies for bridging the research-to-impact gap in higher education institutions.
  • Discussing leading practices: The visit provides an opportunity for attendees to examine successful models for translating research into impact, discovering practical approaches and innovative frameworks they can implement within their own institutions.
  • Networking with stakeholders and like-minded practitioners: The visit connects participants with innovation practitioners and ecosystem leaders, fostering collaborative exchanges that transform ideas into actionable strategies for research commercialisation and research-based innovation.
