Course Description
The online course, structured in explanatory video lessons and practical tutorials led by experts from research centres and universities across Italy, covers topics in bioinformatics.
The introductory modules address the necessary computational fundamentals for working in the field of bioinformatics, then move on to the most widely used software and the latest methods for analysing various types of data, such as genomic DNA, RNA, single-cell RNA, or protein sequences.
The course is designed for researchers, laboratory technicians, healthcare professionals, PhD students, and university students.
It consists of 10 asynchronous modules available online in an asynchronous format on a dedicated educational platform (WeSchool). Each module provides exercises and a video presentation and is concluded once the assigned exercise has been completed, and to be completed on a dedicated server and a video presentation.
Participants will be able to interact with experts on the platform, exchanging opinions and sharing knowledge to learn methodologies and procedures for using the tools.
The content is accessible and can be completed at one’s own pace within six months from the first login to the server and no later than 22 Decembre 2025.
