Pledger Drop-In Session: social media and the new promotional toolkit for Pledgers

In the February Pledger drop-in session, the Deep Tech Talent Pledge Manager, Isabel Vincent, and Marketing and Promotion Lead, Marta Albújar, updated on the latest developments and introduced the new promotional toolkit for Pledgers. The one-hour session also featured short presentations from three of our Pledgers; Data Corner, yourscienceEDU, and Generation, with calls for collaboration for other Pledge members.

Latest developments

Pledger Community

Work is continuing in developing the Pledger Community, and these monthly webinar sessions are just one initiative where Pledgers can connect and get to know each other.

We are currently looking into developing options for Pledgers to share business opportunities, reach out to potential partners, or develop projects together.

EIT Deep Tech Talent Community

The new feature of the initiative is the EIT Deep Tech Talent Community, where talents will be able to log in, upload their CV, and use our new AI-based course matching tool. The features of the EIT Deep Tech Talent Community will evolve during this year also enabling Pledgers to directly identify talents and post job opportunities.

Tech Radar

This dynamic tool developed with Pledgers, will map the deep tech course catalogue to deep tech sectors, provide tangible use cases, add inspire talents to train in those areas.

Meet the Pledgers

This month we had three Pledgers presenting their work and offering collaboration opportunities:

  • Data Corner based in Lisbon, trains students in data science, and collaborates closely with governments, universities and private industry.
  • yourscienceEDU a growing network with almost 2000 research groups, focusing on frontier technologies, such as space.
  •  Generation an international NGO providing training for employment to under-represented and vulnerable groups, specifically those who are unemployed or have low or no skills.

Opportunity for Pledgers

Our Communication and Outreach team is constantly looking out for inspiring stories on deep tech training. Pledgers are encouraged to suggest and make connections with members of their alumni communities who are motivated to share their success in deep tech learning. We are always open for interviews with our Pledgers. We look forward to catching up with our Pledgers at the March monthly drop-in, where the focus will be on editorial content.
