The inaugural delivery of the ‘Train the Trainer’ programme has been a resounding success, and the first two cohorts of students have recently graduated in online ceremonies that celebrated the completion of the course, announced the winners for the best Padlets (lesson plans) uploaded during the course, and discussed what the future holds.
When asked, students shared that they were excited to apply the new concepts and skills they acquired during the course such as the use of avatars, storytelling and metaphors, podcasts, super prompting, and creating a learning community. Many of them have also made use of, and will continue to use the EIT Deep Tech Talent Initiative’s Tech Radar, and share it within their organisation, along with the course content.
With 66 graduates in the first cohort that graduated in March, and 134 graduating from the second cohort at the beginning of May, the real strength of the course was the diversity of education professionals coming from entrepreneurship, innovation, and deep tech.
Reviews
Some of the graduates wanted to share their insight on the programme, what they learnt, what was important for them… We have collected some of those testimonials:
Andreea MG Militaru: “I believe that to become a true professional nowadays, one must be able to use technology comfortably! I first applied for this course out of curiosity and a drive towards teaching entrepreneurship to my students. I’ve always had an entrepreneurial spirit, mainly focused social entrepreneurship, and believe a strong society and economy is based on fair markets and good-quality products and services, and the right tools and education. This course taught me not to be scared of generative AI, and I learned to use it in a valuable and efficient manner. I would love to become a course Ambassador because this course is highly aligned with my core values: respect, perseverance, creativity, curiosity, openness, and adaptability! Students, academics, and others in society need deep tech skills training to help drive innovation and economic development.”
Bertnell Richards: “Participating in the EU-sponsored EIT Deep Tech Talent Initiative’s ‘Train the Trainer’ course has been a catalytic experience in my professional development. It introduced me to diverse entrepreneurial teaching approaches and has significantly enhanced my pedagogical strategies. I am always looking for new and creative ways to teach and integrate these emerging technologies, and this course provided concrete methods for fostering entrepreneurial mindsets among students.”
Bendjedid Rachad Sanoussi: “Participating in this program was an enriching and inspiring experience. Not only did I acquire concrete tools for teaching entrepreneurship and deep tech, but I was also able to interact with a committed and dynamic community. The content was clear, relevant and directly applicable to my projects. This course has strengthened me in my role as a trainer and innovation coach. I highly recommend this program to anyone wishing to pass on an entrepreneurial culture in emerging technological fields.”
Yonah Welker: “I’d love to thank everyone again at the EIT Deep Tech Talent Initiative for this course and their commitment to staying aligned across the deep tech ecosystem, the EU innovation hubs, EDIHs, policy, standards, and education. It will help to empower our MOOCs/education (both EU and within the UN ecosystem) efforts across AI, robotics (social, soft, bio), bionics, advanced agents (hardware and software), public infrastructure, assistive technologies and taxonomies, accessibility, humanitarian contexts, and Ukraine, and empower EU sovereignty, both literacy-wise and across the skills addressing critical infrastructure, value chains, components, sensors, actuators, haptics, smart manufacturing, and much more.”
