Course Description
The course explores the intersection of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and robotics, focusing on the fundamental concepts, techniques, and applications. Students will gain an understanding of how AI algorithms and methodologies can be applied to robotic systems to enable intelligent behaviour, perception, decision-making, and control. The course begins with an introduction to the core concepts of AI, including machine learning, deep learning, and reinforcement learning. Students will learn about various AI architectures, such as neural networks, convolutional neural networks, and recurrent neural networks, and how they can be applied to robotic systems. The course will also cover essential topics in robotics, such as kinematics, dynamics, and control, providing students with a solid foundation in the underlying principles of robotic systems. Throughout the course, students will explore the application of AI techniques in various aspects of robotics, such as computer vision and motion planning. They will learn how to develop AI algorithms that enable robots to perceive and interpret their environment, make intelligent decisions, and execute complex tasks autonomously. Hands-on projects and case studies will be an integral part of the course, allowing students to apply their knowledge to real-world problems and develop practical skills in implementing AI algorithms on robotic platforms.
