Our pledge
Wroclaw University of Science and Technology is proud to join the Pledge and contribute to this important initiative to train 1 million people in deep tech areas. WUST actively working on creating more collaborative research and development partnerships with industry and actively promoting the commercialization of developed technologies and through incubator support entrepreneurs. Startups and innovators from WUST has access to intensive, international incubation program, in which the Lean Startup and Design Thinking methods as well as crowdsourcing and crowdfunding mechanisms are use- GROW UP TECH, which is individually tailored to the needs of each idea. Students and academic and non academic staff have access to prestigious international online training IDEA UP.

Wrocław University of Science and Technology was established in 1945. Today we continue the tradition of these prominent Polish universities and develop in close cooperation with the leading companies of Lower Silesia. We are one of the largest and best technical universities in the country, one regularly ranked among the best in the national rankings.

The most important thing about every university is the people. There are currently 21 881 students, 227 doctoral students and 604 people at the Doctoral School pursuing their degree programmes under the supervision of over 2 200 academic teachers at WUST’s 14 faculties and three branches. We also have 1 427 foreign students from over 60 countries around the world.

Wrocław University of Science and Technology units responsible for conducting scientific research are the Departments, whose number currently amounts to 74. Our scientists carry out their research in fourteen disciplines within four fields:

  • engineering and technology,
  • strict and natural sciences,
  • medical sciences,
  • social sciences.

Each year, a number of our original technical solutions, patents, inventions, and technologies used in industry obtain patent protection. Over the past ten years alone, we have been granted 2 755 patents, in which respect we are the national leader.
The university has 586 educational laboratories, 520 research laboratories, and 9 accredited laboratories.
