About
Simon Kuznets Kharkiv National University of Economics (KhNUE ) – is one of the biggest economic education center in the city of Kharkiv and one of the best economic higher education institutions in Ukraine. In addition to economic specialties, we have many years experience in implementing educational programs in IT technologies, cybersecurity, finance, international relations. Great attention is paid to the study of foreign languages at the University.
The education process is provided by the faculty of 396 lecturers, 50 Doctors of Science and 320 PhD (Candidates of Science) among them. 7 faculties function in the University: Faculty of Economy and Law, Faculty of Information Technologies, Faculty of Management and Marketing, Faculty of International Economy and Entrepreneurship, Faculty of International relations and Journalism, Faculty of Finance and Audit, Faculty of Training Foreign Citizens as well as Post-Graduate and Doctoral schools, specialized academic councils, research and learning laboratories. The total number of students is 6453, the number of international students is – 678.
Within the framework of cooperation with the University of Cambridge, exams for Business English Certificates (BEC) have been held since 2010. S. Kuznets KhNUE obtained the status of the Independent BEC Candidate Training Centre of the University of Cambridge.
Simon Kuznets Kharkiv National University of Economics now take part in consortiums for implementing the Erasmus+ projects (CBHE KA-2 – 4 projects, Jean Monnet Modules – 3 projects, and KA-171 projects), recently took part in Horizon 2020 – 1 project, KA-2 – 6 projects and other projects supported by AUF, British Council, USAID, Delegation of the EU to Ukraine.
The department of Cybersecurity was established in 2017. There are 10 teachers working at the department of cyber security and information technologies, 3 of them have the scientific degree of doctor of technical sciences, 5 have the scientific degree of candidate of technical sciences; 2 – the rank of professor, 8 – the rank of associate professor.
The Department of Cybersecurity and information technologies actively cooperates in the field of education and scientific research with leading IT companies. Teachers of the department and students studying in the direction of the department actively use cloud computing resources and apply modern network technologies and cyber security tools together with the world’s leading specialists.
